Building Stronger Bonds Through Extraordinary Outdoor Adventures
Ready for a new kind of family adventure? CampDads Adventures offers a unique approach that sets us apart from traditional outdoor programs. While there are many great options out there, CampDads provides a distinct experience designed to foster strong bonds, cultivate values, and create lasting memories.
1. Building Memories Together: A Parent-Led Approach
At CampDads, we believe in the power of shared experiences. That’s why our Adventure Clubs are designed for fathers and their children to enjoy together. Unlike traditional camps where kids are sent off with counselors, CampDads provides a framework for programming and facilitates experiences, but it’s the participating dads who truly bring the fun to life.
Over time, our Adventure Clubs break down into smaller groups of dads and kids, fostering a strong sense of community. Each group has the freedom to create its own personality, traditions, and special touches, making each campout unique and memorable. The dads become the leaders, mentors, and ultimately, the heroes who provide their children with incredible weekends.
And the benefits extend beyond the children. Dads, too, can learn new skills, rediscover their inner child, and grow within a supportive community. Whether you’re an outdoor enthusiast or just stepping outside your comfort zone, CampDads provides a safe and encouraging environment for dads to connect with their kids, each other, and themselves.
2. Adventure Awaits: Variety Throughout the Year
CampDads offers a diverse calendar of campouts and events throughout the school year. We avoid the peak summer heat and focus on exploring different environments – from forests and mountains to lakes and beyond – with each campout featuring its own exciting experience. Don’t believe it? Check out the 2024-2025 Season Schedule below:

3. The Ultimate Adventure Outpost: Brushy Creek Basecamp
CampDads offers more than just campouts. Our vibrant Brushy Creek Basecamp is open to both Adventure Club participants and the entire community. It’s a one-of-a-kind space designed to foster connection and fun:
- Indoor Activities: Relax and connect with other families. Play board games, video games, cards, or watch movies. You can also use our meeting space, work or study area, play ping pong, darts, or pool, or grab a bite and beverage at our cafe. We even have a dedicated play area for younger children.
- Outdoor Adventures: Right outside, you’ll find a giant fire pit, a GaGa court, a ropes course, climbing walls, a zipline, a bike track, frisbee golf holes, and camping pads, with more to come in the future. It’s the perfect place for a family outing or an afternoon of outdoor fun.
4. Unstructured Fun: Freedom and Flexibility
CampDads is not about rigid schedules or serious competition. We believe in the power of unstructured fun and fostering a love for the outdoors. Unlike other programs that might be more regimented, CampDads facilitates a framework for programming while allowing for flexibility and creativity. Parent-led groups have the freedom to infuse their own personalities, traditions, humor, and unique twists into each campout.
5. A Celebration of Food: Camp Cuisine Beyond the Ordinary
We all know camp food can be a highlight (or lowlight!) of any trip. CampDads takes camp cuisine to the next level. Forget the standard hot dogs and smores – we offer delicious and exciting meals, from mouthwatering hog roasts and fresh seafood to our infamous, super-secret recipe Koda Balls. For us, food becomes another way to connect and create lasting memories. Plus, Adventure Club groups are encouraged to bring their own signature appetizers, creating a potluck-style experience that celebrates diversity and culinary creativity.
6. Open and Inclusive: Building Community for All
CampDads is open to all fathers and their children, regardless of religion or background. While we share similar values with other organizations, such as fostering personal growth, building strong relationships, practicing good stewardship, and enjoying the outdoors, we believe in inclusivity and creating a welcoming environment for everyone.
Break free from the ordinary and embark on extraordinary – join CampDads Adventures today and let’s make some unforgettable memories together!
